On July 20, 2024, solebox opened a new branch in the heart of Paris. The retailer already had branches in Berlin, Barcelona, Brussels, Amsterdam, Munich, and Vienna, so a branch in the French fashion city came at just the right time.
Especially for the opening, solebox collaborated with adidas and designed the didas Originals Handball Spezial 'Paris Exclusive'. The opening of the branch was celebrated in a big way and Sneakerjagers was there.
solebox Paris
Since last weekend, solebox can now be visited in Paris. The retailer, having already hosted a pop-up in the fashion city during Paris Fashion Week, seemed eager for more success. On July 19 and 20, 2024, the German retailer opened its doors and did so in style.
The opening of the branch started in the store. Invited guests were the first to see the store while enjoying a glass of champagne. The store has a luxurious look inspired by a classic Parisian brasserie. The building has a bright yellow facade, copper details, and solid stone elements.
The store features sneakers, apparel, and accessories from brands as diverse as Nike, adidas, New Balance, and solebox own label. In addition, the retailer collaborates with @cafeinn.paris and has its own coffee spot in the store. The second floor features a lounge area where events and talks can be organized.
Launch event
After a tour around the store, dinner at restaurant Siena was next on the agenda. At the restaurant, a pair of solebox x adidas Originals Handball Spezial 'Paris Exclusive' was placed on every chair for guests to enjoy. The sneaker was specially designed for solebox's new store and was inspired by the new establishment, reminiscent of a classic Parisian brasserie with a yellow facade.
The center panel features solebox in gold cursive letters, and the insole features the store's address as a nod to the opening. The solebox x adidas Originals Handball Spezial 'Paris Exclusive' was only available during the store opening.
After everyone received their own pairing, the first dish was delivered. The menu consisted of various dishes such as lobster, pasta, burrata, and classic French appetizers. After a long dinner, everyone was expected at club Jangal for the afterparty where DJs Zack Bia, Benji B, and Beace played throughout the evening. The party was a great success and continued into the early morning hours.
On July 20, the store finally opened its doors. Starting at 10:00 am, you could check out the establishment, and the first 50 attendees received “welcome gifts.” During the opening, a local florist was also present and gave away a bunch of flowers á la Paris with every order.
