The Autry brand

Founded in 1982 by Jim Autry in Dallas, Texas, the Autry brand initially gained prominence in the United States with its sneakers tailored for tennis, running, and aerobics.

After Jim Autry's passing in 2009 and the lack of interest from his heirs to sustain the company, the brand faded from the spotlight. However, after years of inactivity, three Italian entrepreneurs revived the brand in 2019. They reintroduced the iconic Medalist silhouette, resulting in a revival, particularly within the European sneaker community.

Moreover, the brand introduced the Dallas model, another sought-after trainer design. Subsequently, other silhouettes swiftly followed suit, captivating the market.

How do you determine your own size?

To start with, it is important to determine your own shoe size. Ordering trainers online can be a bit trickier that trying on shoes in a physical shop. It would be very frustrating if you ordered a pair of Autry sneakers, and they turned out not to fit.

This is what you need

To determine your own shoe size, you will need:

  • 2 sheets of A4 paper
  • A pencil
  • A ruler

Calculating the size of your foot

Begin by placing a sheet of paper on the ground and grabbing a pencil. Locate a wall where you can stand directly opposite and position your heels against it. It's best to wear the same socks you intend to wear with your new Autry trainers.

Next, place the sheet of paper under your foot. If the paper doesn't stay in place well, you may want to secure it with tape. Stand upright with your heels against the wall and use the pencil to trace the outline of your foot. If you find this challenging, don't hesitate to ask for assistance.

Once you have a clear outline, it's time to measure. Use a ruler to measure the distance from the heel to the tip of your big toe. Record this measurement in centimetres.

Don't forget to repeat this process for your other foot! Since most people have two different foot sizes, even minor differences can make a difference.
