BAPE once again joins forces with adidas to unveil two colorways of the Dame 9, the new signature silhouette of NBA player Damian Lillard. The sneaker appears in two colorways, 'Better Scarlet' and 'Black & Green,' which use BAPE's well-known ABC-Camo print. The collab drops on 31 August 2024 with these two new colorways and a matching clothing collection.
BAPE x adidas Dame 9
BAPE and adidas show time and again that the two work all too well together. In 2023, BAPE celebrated its 30th anniversary and did so with a variety of releases, including the Forum Low '84, Stan Smith and Superstar. The next collaboration involves the Dame 9, a new basketball shoe.
Basketball player Damian Lillard is the brains behind this new adidas silhouette. The NBA player with jersey number #0 who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks is a big name in the basketball world and is also the founder of Formula Zero, a training program for young people. Earlier in 2024, Lillard showed his first sneaker for adidas.
The adidas Dame 9 has a streamlined design. There are rubber overlays on the upper that give the sneaker grip and strength. It seems Lillard enlisted the help of an old friend for the roll-out of this model. In 2018, BAPE worked on the Dame 4, the predecessor of the Dame 9.

The limited edition collection from adidas and BAPE for Damian Lillard will be available from 31 August 2024 via adidas CONFIRMED, selected retailers and via BAPE.COM.
