This new PUMA shoe seems to almost float. Well, technically, the back of the shoe still rests on the ground, but the sole doesn't touch the ground at all. The design of this running shoe is intended for propulsion and maintains its balance at the front of the foot. This is achieved through a sole with wavy sections providing stability and speed.
At the back, we see the PUMA NITRO logo, indicating that the midsole is filled with NITRO ELITE technology. This technology maximises cushioning and returns 46% more energy than previous models. Between the layers of NITROFOAM™ Elite are not one, but three PWRPLATEs strategically placed for powerful propulsion.
Furthermore, the upper of the sneaker is made from various materials, with suede side panels on a breathable mesh base. Finally, a flexible collar at the back ensures an easy on and off.
Romain Girard, head of Innovation Design at PUMA, on the sneaker: "Our elite race day running shoes are often confined to work within the rules, but with Fast RB NITRO™ Elite, we asked the question: what if we pushed running technology as far as we can? This is not just a running shoe; it's a statement."
Fast RB NITRO™ Elite will be available from August 28, 2024, in two colorways: 'Psychedelic Rush' and 'Black-Sun Stream'. Only 1,000 pairs of the silhouette will be available.
