With these new silhouettes, the brand bridges the classic designs that ASICS is known for with cutting-edge technologies.
The ASICS UB8-S GT-2160 is a good example here and is a perfect match with its classic yet modern design. The sneaker was designed by London-based Kiko Kostadinov Studio and the development team at ASICS SportStyle. The design focuses on three themes: Interlaced Assemblages, Functional Utopias, and Mino Ceramics.
The silhouette uses a mix of soft textures and handmade elements. The bright colors and contrasting, grid-like patterns take inspiration from nature. Glossy elements, such as details on the mudguard, are interspersed with metallic textures that highlight the double-layer mesh finish.
The result is a sleek-looking sneaker. The silhouette appears in three colorways: 'Azure', 'Brown Storm' and 'Jade Coffee'. All three variants use distinct colors, something central to Kiko Kostadinov's designs. In short, a must-have for sneaker lovers who want to bring the Y2K theme back into their outfits.
