Sneakerjagers Road to Sneaker of the Year Q3 - giveaway

It's already for the third round of the Sneakerjagers Road to Sneaker of the Year. Each season we look back at the best, most unique and exclusive releases of the quarter. Through the Sneakerjagers app, you can vote for your favourite release for a week and you can win this sneaker too!

Sneakerjagers: Road to Sneaker of the Year

As some of you may remember, in late 2023 we at Sneakerjagers introduced the Sneaker of the Year competition. Leading up to 2024, we looked back with you at the best releases of 2023 and everyone could vote for their favourite in four rounds.

The Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG SP 'Olive' took the crown and was the release of 2023 according to you. This year we are taking a slightly different approach and are looking at the best releases each season to compete against at the end of 2024.

Each quarter in Sneakerjagers Road to Sneaker of the Year, we select the best releases of the season, from unique collaborations to new silhouettes. Through the Sneakerjagers app, you can cast your vote for your favourite. Each quarter's sneakers then compete at the end of the year for the title of Sneaker of the Year.

The Best Releases of 2024 Q3

The third quarter of 2024 came with a lot of special releases. Nike continued their 'Cult Classics' series, New Balance came out with new, innovative designs, and Travis Scott was also at it again.

So selecting some sneakers was a challenge, but we did our best. Below are the best releases of 2024 Q3. Voting is open from Tuesday, October 1, 2024, 12:00 pm to Tuesday, October 8, 2024, 11:59 am.

Action Bronson x New Balance 1906R 'Medusa Azul'

The collaboration between rapper Action Bronson and New Balance continued into the third quarter of 2024. Over the summer, the highly anticipated 1906R appeared in the colorway 'Medusa Azul'. Like his previous collabs, this sneaker again used bright colors on the upper.

A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 3 'Black' - W.Y.W.S Pack

Sneaker boutique A Ma Maniére celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2024 with several releases, including the Air Jordan 3 'Black'. Like previous collaborations with Nike, this sneaker came with purple details and luxurious materials. Another hit from A Ma Maniére and Nike.

Bad Bunny x adidas Gazelle Indoor 'White'

Another collab not to be missed in the list is that of Bad Bunny and adidas. The duo has been working together for a while and released the Gazelle Indoor in the colorway 'White' in September. Notable features of the sneaker are the asymmetrical overlays on the toe cap and the label on the heel.

New Balance 1906 Loafer 'Metallic Silver'

Perhaps the most talked about sneaker (or rather loafer) of this year. During Paris Fashion Week, the first images of the 1906 Loafer in collaboration with Junya Watanabe appeared. Not much later, the first rumors circulated about a general release at New Balance in a 'Metallic Silver' colorway.

The silhouette sold out immediately, indicating that we are not the only ones who are only too happy to have this loafer in our sneaker closet.

Air Jordan 4 'White Thunder'

Another Nike sneaker that made its comeback this year was the Air Jordan 4 'White Thunder'. The sneaker made its debut in 2006 and was immediately in high demand with its sleek colorway. In 2024, the 'White Thunder' made its first comeback in ages and with success.

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG 'Medium Olive'

Travis Scott was also at it again this year, continuing his collaboration with Nike. In late September, the 'Medium Olive' colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Low was released there. The sneaker combines the signature colors of Scott's releases, which only makes the pair more popular. A W for anyone who was able to grab this sneaker.

Patta x Nike Air Max 1 SP 'Chlorophyll' - 2024

Perhaps the most anticipated sneaker of the year, at least if the lines on the Seafront are to be believed, is the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 SP 'Chlorophyll'. Especially for Patta's 20th anniversary, Nike brought back a 'holy grail' that celebrated Patta's fifth anniversary in 2009.

A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 4 WMNS 'Fossil Stone' - W.Y.W.S Pack

Another A Ma Maniére release that celebrated the boutique's 10th anniversary is the Air Jordan 4 'Fossil Stone'. The pair features a light purple colorway. The upper consists of high-quality leather and chunky suede. Again, another good release from the Atlanta-based store (and we still have a few due).

Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 RM 'Grandma's Driveway'

BMX'er Nigel Sylvester has been riding high with Nike this year. In July, Sylvester unveiled his first collaboration with Nike that featured a variation of the Air Jordan 4. The first colorway of the Air Jordan 4 RM, the 'Grandma's Driveway,' tells a great story about Sylvester's bond with his family.

ASICS GEL-NYC 'Strawberries & Cream'

Among all this year's collabs, the ASICS GEL-NYC 'Strawberries & Cream' appears. In a short time, the GEL-NYC silhouette has become wildly popular, and for good reason. With its chunky design, the sneaker is the perfect translation of the Y2K trend that is very popular in 2024, and the 'Strawberries & Cream' colorway fits it perfectly.

Air Jordan 1 Low OG 'Mocha'

Following the popular release of the Air Jordan 1 High 'Mocha' from 2020, this year the white-black-brown colorway also appeared on the Low variant of the sneaker. Since the Travis Scott releases, which often used the Air Jordan 1 Low, the model seems to be more popular than ever. Therefore, it was high time for the iconic 'Mocha' colorway to make its appearance on the model.

Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 QS 'Hot Lava'

Finally, we have the Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 QS 'Hot Lava' which made its comeback this year. The silhouette debuted in the 1990s and was seen a lot on the feet of tennis player Agassi at the time. In 2019, the sneaker was last available - until now. A beloved release among diehard sneaker lovers.
