Born out of a deep love for sneakers and hip-hop culture, Patta began in the early 2000s when founders Edson Sabajo and Guillaume ‘Gee’ Schmidt started bringing rare kicks and hidden gems back to Amsterdam from places like New York. What started as a passion project quickly evolved into something bigger - by 2004, they had opened their first store, turning Patta into a cultural hub for sneakerheads, artists, and creatives in the Netherlands and beyond.
Over the years, Patta has grown into a cornerstone of Amsterdam’s streetwear scene, representing not just a brand but a movement rooted in community, authenticity, and urban culture.
Patta's influence extends far beyond sneakers. Their in-house clothing line has become a staple in streetwear, and the brand now has flagship locations in Amsterdam, London, and Milan.
