ASICS introduces a new silhouette; the GEL-NYC 2055. The sneaker takes inspiration from the ASICS GEL-NYC, which debuted in 2023 and uses the sole of the GEL-CUMULUS 16. The ASICS GEL-NYC 2055 will drop at select retailers on July 26, 2024.
ASICS is on a roll. After the recent release of the GEL-NIMBUS 10.1, an updated version of the GEL-NIMBUS 10 with the sole of the GEL-KAYANO 14, the next silhouette appears. The ASICS GEL-NYC 2055 is a variation of the fairly young ASICS silhouette, the GEL-NYC.
The ASICS GEL-NYC was introduced in 2023 in collaboration with Awake NY. The sneaker features a chunky silhouette and a distinctive, chunky outsole. After several collaborations with names like HIDDEN.NY and Naruto, the model now gets an updated version.
The GEL-NYC 2055 takes inspiration from numerous ASICS silhouettes including the GEL-CUMULUS 16, GT-2050, and GT-2060 (hence the name 2055). The sneaker makes its debut in two colorways: 'Pale Oak' and 'Cream & Pure Silver'. In addition, we can expect a 'Glacier Grey' colorway in the coming weeks.
