Apron Records and Nike bring memories to life with the Air 180

Nike and Apron Records join forces for a unique collaboration. The London-based record label, founded by Steven Julien, ventures into the world of sneakers for the first time with a distinctive interpretation of the Nike Air 180.

The sneaker features a mix of textures and materials, making the design a true creative statement. From hairy suede panels to croc-leather and reflective synthetic elements, the shoe stands out in both style and innovation. But Apron Records has not only focused on its striking appearance; the sneaker also tells a story.

The bold razor blade lace dubrae is a reference to Julien’s youth, when he developed his love for music while working in his aunt’s salon - a period he immortalized with a razor blade tattoo on his hand.

Additionally, the Nike Air 180 comes in a combination of Dark Atomic Teal, Alabaster, and Off-Noir. The signature 180º Air unit has a vintage yellow tint, making it look like the shoe came straight from 1991. Other standout details include the cow print Swoosh, the yellow 180 logos on the tongue, and the Apron logo subtly incorporated into the heel and dubrae.

After previous collaborations with Patta, Apron Records is making a significant move into the world of sneaker design. While exact release information has not yet been confirmed, the launch is expected in the spring of 2025.
