The Low Poly series of the Nike Air Max 1 is currently incredibly popular. At the end of February, the Air Max 1 .SWOOSH Low Poly 'Adventure' was released, inspired by the game Lara Croft. Shortly after, the 'Big Head Origins' colorway, which hinted at Donkey Kong, was launched, and now we’re seeing a 007-inspired release.
This is the Nike Air Max 1 Low Poly 'Big Head Mode,' a sneaker that pays tribute to the GoldenEye 007 game from 1997. The game, created for the Nintendo 64, is based on the 1995 film of the same name, featuring Pierce Brosnan as James Bond.
The black-and-white colors of the sneaker refer to Bond's signature tuxedo. The golden details are a tribute to the Golden Gun, a mythical weapon from the game. Like the previous Low Poly releases, the sneaker features pixel-like details on the upper.
The name of the sneaker, 'Big Head Mode,' refers to a cheat code in the game where all the characters had enlarged heads.
