PUMA and Roc Nation release Mixtape collection in honour of Hip Hop
PUMA and Roc Nation join forces for a Mixtape collection celebrating Hip Hop's 50th anniversary. Emory 'Vegas' Jones of Paper Planes and shoe designer Alexander John have collaborated to pay tribute to an important chapter in Hip Hop's rich history.
The PUMA x Roc Nation 'Mixtape' collection includes both apparel and sneakers, one standout being the PUMA RS-XL. This iconic silhouette will be dropping in three different colorways, all inspired by different mixtape formats: cassettes, CDs and playlists. Also set to release will be a PUMA Suede and PUMA Future Rider, with the former inspired by a blank cassette tape and the latter by a 'REC' button.
Each pair includes an innovative 'LGT Tag' with Legitimate's NFC chip. Scanning this tag will give you access to a digital gateway with exclusive content, weekly mix releases and a behind-the-scenes look into the life of Roc Nation.
Besides the sneakers, the Mixtape collection will also include matching clothing, including jackets, T-shirts and shorts. These garments are decorated with graphics inspired by music.
The PUMA x Roc Nation 'Mixtape' collection will be available from PUMA and various retailers. For more information, check out the Sneakerjagers release calendar.
