Nike comes out with a Air Max 90 Golf 'Picnic'
Nike pays tribute to the 'Annual Family Picnic' which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. The brand celebrates this with the release of the Air Max 90 Golf 'Picnic'. The pair has a striking colorway and matches well with the picnic theme.
The 'Annual Family Picnic' is a picnic that has been held since 1972. For 50 years, the brand has organised an annual picnic and is now celebrating that with the new Air Max 90 Golf 'Picnic'. The pair nod to some of the signature elements of the picnic scene.
The sneaker therefore has a woven upper and is coloured gold. This hints at a picnic basket. The overlays and mudguard are red and white and have a checkered pattern. This refers to the picnic rug. Off-white elements are placed on the tongue and heel. The Nike Air logo can be seen on the heel.
The Swoosh on the middle panel has been given a dark brown colour and a ribbed edge. To this we see yellow stitching. Yellow and red labels are also placed on the tongue, which hint at a mustard and ketchup bag and take their inspiration from famous Heinz packaging.

This Air Max 90 Golf has a theme you can't miss: picnic! You can immediately see the familiar picnic rug pattern on the upper. The forefoot and backfoot come in a mustard yellow colour, which is also reflected on the tongue. The tongue label has the look of a small mustard bag. This is also reflected on the end of the laces, which are red and have small mustard stripes. They look like little hot dogs with sauce.
