The Concepts x Nike Air Max 1 'Far Out' (DN1803-500) is a collaboration between US-based clothing/sneaker store Concepts and sportswear brand Nike. This AM1 release is one of 3 between both brands. Besides this Air Max 1 'Far Out' release, there is also the Air Max 1 'Mellow' and the Air Max 1 'Heavy'.
The iconic Air Max 1 was first released in 1987. It was truly a revolution, partly because the Air technology was made visible by chief designer Tinker Hatfield, pushing aesthetic and technical boundaries. 35 years later, Concepts pays homage to the classic silhouette. With a wild twist of radical youth style from 1969, to 1996 when Concepts was founded, they honour, as they say themselves, 'The irreverent spirit of Nike from the beginning'. The paisley bandana overlays are interspersed with denim, corduroy and animal prints on the upper of this Concepts Air Max 1. All this comes on a speckled midsole with a 'Light Brown' out sole.
