Converse and PLAY Comme des Garçons are teaming up again. This time they bring a more striking design than we are used to. The collab is known for the 'heart shoes,' where the signature heart is always placed somewhere on the upper of Converse sneakers. You will see this heart again in this new release.
The One Star Academy Pro is getting a new look for this drop. This is being promoted in a campaign featuring CONS skater Alexis Sablone. Harmony Korine's creative team, EDGLRD, brought the campaign to life with an edgy video full of surreal imagery that perfectly matches the mood of the sneakers.
The pack comes in two clean colors: 'Black/Egret' and 'Milk/Black'. Both designs feature premium canvas uppers, CX foam for extra comfort, and a CONS traction sole for grip. This makes the sneakers ideal for skating.
The black version has a black base, white stitching, white lines, and a white sole. The white colorway is the exact opposite, with a white base and black stitching and lines along the sides. Finally, on both sneakers, the heart of CDG PLAY appears behind the lines.
Starting December 6, 2024, the PLAY Comme des Garçons x Converse One Star Academy Pro sneakers will be available through Converse and Dover Street Market. In addition to this collaboration, Converse is also teaming up with Patta.
