It's official! adidas Originals has unveiled the official images of the collaboration between Bad Bunny and Lionel Messi. As previously announced, this collab comes with two sneakers: the adidas Gazelle Indoor and the F50 football shoe, inspired by music and soccer - two great passions that have shaped Messi and Bad Bunny's lives.
According to adidas, this collaboration came very naturally, as both superstars have great respect for each other. Messi revealed that music plays a big role in his life and that Bad Bunny is always on his playlist. On the other hand, Bad Bunny compares the love Messi has for his sport and country with the passion he himself feels for music and Puerto Rico. The result is a fusion of their creative influences in two cool shoes.
The unveiling of the images also reveals the inspiration behind them. Earlier, the striking X on the heel was mentioned, this appears to be a subtle reference to Messi's famous back number 10. In addition, the blue on both shoes is a nod to the Argentine flag, a nice tribute to Messi's roots. Finally, the golden tones refer to the many trophies Messi has won.
The official release is scheduled for October 26, 2024, but starting October 21, fans can already register for the draw via the adidas CONFIRMED app. Unfortunately, the Gazelle Indoor is available exclusively in North and South America.
