After their successful collab with Awake NY on the GEL-Kayano and GEL-LYTE III model, ASICS and the New York-based brand developed a new, collaborative silhouette. It's not a model made from scratch, instead, the two brands combined various models. The GEL-Nimbus 3, GEL-MC Plus V, and GEL-Cumulus 16 models mashed together made the Awake NY x ASICS GEL-NYC. This new silhouette is a mix of retro designs with modern technology.
The Awake NY x ASICS GEL-NYC will be available in two versatile colorways. The first one includes a gray mesh base with suede overlays in a contrasting teal color. A pink vector logo and mudguard complete the design. The second colorway comes in purple, gray, and golden colors on the same design. Both pairs feature Awake NY branding on the lateral heels and ASICS branding appears on the tongues.
As far as we know, the Awake NY x ASICS GEL-NYC sneakers will be released through Awake NY's New York flagship store. A wider launch is planned during the Paris Fashion Week from the middle to the end of January 2023. There is no sizing or pricing information as of yet.
