Official images of the Nike Air Max 1 'Sofvi' have surfaced. The first mock-up images of the vinyl toys-inspired sneaker appeared in late 2022 and now, over six months later, Nike is showing the 'Sofvi' in all its glory. Check out the official images here and read more about the release.

Nike further expands its Air Max 1 line. Introduced in 1987, the Air Max 1 was the first Nike sneaker with a visible Air Unit. The silhouette was designed by Tinker Hatfield who was inspired by the architecture of the Centre Pompidou building in Paris. In 2023, the model is totally back and has already appeared in several colorways.

The next Air Max 1 colorway in the line-up, is the 'Sofvi'. The colorway takes its inspiration from collectible Japanese soft vinyl toys and features a 'soft' colorway. The upper combines the colours red, orange and off-white. The overlays are synthetic materials and hints at Japanese vinyl toys.

The 'Sofvi' comes with a yellowed midsole and a translucent outsole. The Nike Air logo appears on the tongue and heel. On the outsole, the Japanese translation of 'Air Max 1' is printed in the rubber. The Nike logo is also printed in Japanese on the insole. Silver Swooshes complete the colorway.

The Nike Air Max 1 'Sofvi' does not yet have an official release date. However, we can most likely expect the trainer in 2023. Check out the official images of the trainer below and keep an eye on our release calendar for the latest updates.

The first mock-up images of the Nike Air Max 1 WMNS 'Sofvi' have surfaced. The sneaker comes in a soft colorway inspired by the vinyl collectable toys from Japan. There are no official images of the 'Sofvi' colorway yet. Check out the mock-up of the sneaker below, which will most likely release in 2023.

The Nike Air Max 1 is back with a vengeance. The model celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2022 and did so with several releases. Also in 2023, Nike is expanding the Air Max 1 line and doing so with several WMNS releases, including the 'Sofvi'. No photos of the colorway have surfaced yet. The mock-up shows that the sneaker will appear in soft tones.

Soft vinyl collectable toys

The Nike Air Max 1 WMNS takes its inspiration from the soft vinyl collectable toys from Japan. These are toys or figurines that are made of soft material and often hint at action figures or movies. The figurines are mainly collected by fans who greatly expand their collections with the respective collectable figurines.

The 'Sofvi' colorway comes with an off-white upper. The mudguard has an ombre effect and has been colored pink. The orange overlays placed over the upper have also been given an ombre effect. This effect gives the sneaker a playful look and nods to Japanese toys.

The pair comes with light blue details. The lace eyelets color light blue, as does the outsole. The Swoosh on the center panel has a silver color. The tongue features the Nike Air logo. The midsole colors off-white, giving the sneaker a retro look.

Check out the first mock-up images of the sneaker below. It is not yet known when the sneaker will be released. However, we can expect the Nike Air Max 1 WMNS 'Sofvi' in 2023. Keep an eye on our release calendar and stay up-to-date with the latest news.

In 2023, the Nike Air Max 1 made a remarkable return, with a range of captivating colourways and designs following its hiatus from the scene. Among these is the Nike Air Max 1 ‘Sofvi’, drawing inspiration from Japanese soft vinyl toys, which are highly sought-after collector's items in Japan. Details on the shoe, such as a translucent outsole and an original shoebox design inspired by Japanese toys, all contribute to the playful theme.

The upper is white and mustard brown in colour, with white leather and translucent synthetic overlays. Chrome Swooshes adorn the sides, complemented by electric red on the leather mudguard and maroon accents on the heel branding and lacing system.

The off-white midsole showcases Nike Air Max 1 in Japanese characters on the left shoe, while retro-style prints decorate the insoles with Nike Air Max and the same text in Japanese. Intriguing sneaker design and Japanese toy inspiration combine to create a one-of-a-kind and alluring shoe.
