Nike Air Max 1 Premium 'Pecan' | DZ0482-200
The Air Max 1 model celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2022 and does so with several, unique releases. Introduced in 1987, the model was designed by Tinker Hatfield. The Air Max 1 silhouette was the first Nike model where the Air Unit was visible in the midsole. Now, anno 2022, Nike is bringing back striking colorways.
The Nike Air Max 1 Premium 'Pecan' has a warm colorway. The sneaker combines different shades of brown and comes with yellow details all over the silhouette. For instance, the Swoosh on the centre panel colours yellow, as do the laces and outsole. The sneaker takes its inspiration from the 2001 'Ugly Ducking' pack.
A striking detail on the 'Pecan' colorway, is the duck on the heel. This hints at the Dunk Low 'Ugly Duckling'. The upper is premium leather and the mudguard is suede, with the Air Unit in the midsole coloured yellow.
Nike Air Max 1 Premium 'Honeydew' | DZ0482-001
Another striking colorway that returns is the 'Honeydew'. Like the 'Pecan', this one is also inspired by the Dunk Low 'Ugly Duckling' pack. What stands out most is that this colorway is very different from the others. The upper is again made of suede, only different colours have been used for this design.
Instead of brown shades, the upper comes in black, dark grey and orange. The orange colour can be seen on the lining and on the Nike branding on the tongue. As with the previous pair, contrast is added through a striking colour.
On this colorway, the Swoosh and the duck on the heel are coloured turquoise. To complete the design, this hue also returns on the outsole and laces. Finally, the branding on the insoles has been given a light yellow colour.
