This week, New York meets Tokyo in the latest drop from longtime collaborators Todd Snyder and New Balance. The duo just unveiled the 574 'Tokyo Prep' pack, a refined, minimal take on the classic silhouette inspired by the understated elegance of Japan's capital city.
For those not familiar with Todd Snyder, know that he has quickly become a go-to name in modern menswear. Known for his clean tailoring and sharp eye for detail, he's teamed up with New Balance for standout releases like the 997 'Triborough', the 992 'From Away', and the 57/40 'Stony Beach'.
This time, the 'Tokyo Prep' pack offers two new colorways of the 574: 'Shiro' (white) and 'Gure' (grey). Inspired by Tokyo's natural tones of beige architecture and concrete greys, the palette reflects the city's balance between tradition and innovation.
Design-wise, the upper combines leather with soft suede overlays, giving the shoe a rich layered feel. A fuzzy oversized "N" logo on the side adds a playful, unique touch. Whereas underfoot, the EVA foam and ENCAP-cushioning deliver classic 574 comfort.
Release
The Todd Snyder x New Balance 574 'Tokyo Prep' pack is available from April 17th, 2025, both online and in Todd Snyder stores, priced at $120 USD.
