New Balance and Stone Island are back with a new collaboration, dear community. After their earlier makeover of the 991v2, which attracted a lot of attention, they are now coming out with a completely new pack in 2024.
Stone Island, the Italian brand famous for its innovative materials and technical outerwear, has previously collaborated with New Balance. Recently, we saw the Stone Island x New Balance 574 Legacy in two fresh colours, and in October 2023, the Stone Island x New Balance 991v2 ‘Black Olive’ was released.
For their next project, they are again focusing on this silhouette.
The first images of their latest 991v2 colorway surfaced in August 2024, and it looks promising. The new ‘Sand’ colorway comes in a combination of premium suede, mesh and leather. A striking detail is Stone Island's signature Velcro patch on the tongue. Finally, the sneaker features a comfortable foam midsole with FuelCell cushioning and a rubber outsole for added comfort.
However, this is not the only colorway we can expect; the collaboration includes a 991v2 pack with three different designs. We also expect a black and a green look in a similar style. Official details of the other colorways have not yet been announced, but they will have the same minimalist style as the ‘Sand’ colorway. Make sure to check some impressions below.
