Maybe the white and blue colourblock already looks familiar to you, as the model is very similar to the Dunk Low 'Coast' colourway that was released in January 2021. You can see the difference in the pictures below. The most noticeable difference is that the 'University Blue' has a somewhat brighter blue hue. Also, on the Coast version, some yellow details have been added. For example, the NIKE logo on the tongue and back have been given this colour.
Perhaps the name 'University Blue' also rings a bell. This colour refers to Michael Jordan and has a long history with Jordan Brand. MJ started his basketball career at his university in North Carolina. The colours of his uniform were light blue. As a tribute to MJ, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High 'University Blue' was released recently. Some call this colorway the best design of the 2021 AJ1.
The Dunk Low gets the colourblock design we have come to expect. This time, a blue colour and a white colour alternate. The base is made of leather, giving the shoe a clean look. The NIKE logo on the tongue is given a matching blue colour, while the logos on the back and inside are made white.
It remains to be seen when this new colour combination on the Dunk Low will be released. In any case, it is expected that the release will still be in 2021 and that the shoes will be priced at €100.
