This week is adidas CONFIRMED Members Week, dear Sneakerjagers!
Kicking off the week is a hyped collab: Kerwin Frost and adidas kick off their eccentric partnership with the release of a larger-than-life Superstar 'Superstuffed'. Although Frost has been working with adidas since early 2020 and has hinted at many crazy collaborations since then, the 'Superstuffed' is now his first adidas Originals product.
Inspired by the oversized shoes often seen on clowns and sports mascots, the 'Superstuffed' has been filled with so much padding that it looks five sizes bigger than it actually is. The disproportionate look is a Frost trademark.
Kerwin Frost
Kerwin Frost is an entertainer, DJ, presenter and cabaret artist. He was born in New York in 1995 and is known for his street style. Frost was the founder of the Spaghetti Boys, a YouTube collective that made humorous videos about fashion. Kerwin became even better known through this platform.
His fashion choices are often seen and read about in the media. At Paris Fashion Week 2019, for example, Frost was spotted wearing a Moncler x Craig Green jacket and went viral. Artist Takashi Murakami stands behind the choices Kerwin makes, calling him his fashion hero.
"My first shoe with adidas is an absolute masterpiece," says Frost, who clearly does not lack confidence. "We have completely changed the genetics of a legendary sneaker - perhaps the most important sneaker of all time. And that's art. That's something special. There's never been anything like this before. We've seen the wave of platform sneakers, but never a BIG SHOE."

Kerwin Frost x adidas Superstar 'Superstuffed'
However, aside from its enormous proportions, the 'Superstuffed' is a classic superstar with a white leather upper, tonal rubber shell toe, black Three Stripe graphic and gold metallic detailing. It also features co-branded insoles and comes packaged in a co-branded box.
"I hope that these shoes will bring joy and a smile to people's faces. The fact that this shoe exists is a symbol that anything is possible. The idea sounded crazy at first, but now it's here. It is beautiful! Kudos to the adidas development team for finding a way to make these shoes wearable. Clown shoes for the masses!"
