Designer and film director Taqwa Bint Ali teams up with adidas for the first time to unveil two unique designs, crafted specifically for women. The collection features the Adistar Pose 'Iron Metallic' and the Megaride Mary-Jane 'Iron Metal,' both in monochrome gray colorways.
Taqwa Bint Ali has previously collaborated with brands like Levi's and worked on styling for notable names such as GQ Magazine, adidas, and Jean Paul Gaultier. It was never a question of if she would design her own sneaker, but when. Fortunately, we don’t have to wait long for the answer: her first adidas collaboration drops this month.
For her collaboration with adidas, the designer selected two silhouettes: the Adistar Pose and the Megaride Mary-Jane. The Adistar Pose features a sporty design and is completely dressed in dark gray. The upper is made of breathable mesh and is covered with leather overlays.
The second silhouette, the Megaride Mary-Jane, has a striking design inspired by ballet. The shoe resembles a ballerina with a strap across the instep. It uses the distinctive sole of the adidas Megaride, characterized by midsole technology with open tunnels.
