The first images of the Fear of God x adidas Rivalry Low 86 in a black colorway have surfaced. Earlier this year, the silhouette in collaboration with Jerry Lorenzo's label appeared in a gray colorway. When both colorways will be available is not yet known. Read more about the collab here.
Fear of God x adidas
California-based apparel label Fear of God has been working with adidas for quite some time. The label previously partnered with Nike for an extended period of time and released various, unique and modern sneakers, including the Nike Air Fear of God 1 in various colorways. In early 2023, Fear of God announced that the label would come out with its own collection at adidas.
The Fear of God Athletics line was first shown on a runway in late April 2023. The sneakers and apparel shown here were identified by the logos of both brands. About six months later, we see the first images of Fear of God x adidas Rivalry Low 86 in a black colorway.
The sneaker has a custom design and comes with an elevated midsole. The upper is made of sturdy suede. The three adidas stripes appear on the center panel. The laces have been given a toggle, giving the pair a modern look. The midsole has an off-white color and comes with the adidas logo.
The Trefoil logo is placed on the heel. The Fear of God logo appears on the midsole, near the heel. The upper is very reminiscent of the classic Rivalry Low 86 model, however, the enlarged midsole gives the pair a modern touch.
