Following the recent releases of the adidas Jabbar High and Low, adidas Basketball now unveils three subsequent colorways of the iconic silhouette. The sneaker was designed in collaboration with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, former NBA player and six-time MVP. The pack drops November 15, 2024.
For those familiar in basketball, I'm sure you've heard of the adidas Jabbar (or even have some in your own wardrobe). Last month, the sneaker made its comeback in Low and High variants, and now adidas Basketball unveils the next three colorways.
The Jabbar OG Collection continues Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's line of shoes. The original Jabbar series was introduced in 1978 and went down in history as the first basketball sneaker with the face of an athlete. The line not only celebrated Jabbar's influence on the court but also highlighted his impact on it.
Since Jabbar, more NBA athletes have been linked to sneakers, think Jordan, but Jabbar's series still has a bit more nostalgia surrounding it. Two new colorways of the Jabbar High will appear this month; a black and a white. The Jabbar Low appears in a white-green colorway.
The sneakers consist of premium leather and use suede elements. Gold details on the tongue and heel give the sneakers a chic look. The yellowed soles give the sneaker a vintage touch. The liner is made of soft leather and offers comfort.
The adidas Jabbar sneakers will drop at sneaker retailer UNDFTD on November 2, 2024. Not much later, on November 15, 2024, the collection will be available at adidas. Check out the official images of the colorways below and don't miss the release.
