adidas plays a big role in the running shoe world. At the Olympics, you will see several athletes appear on the adidas Avanti Track Spike which was designed especially for this tournament. The sports brand stays busy with innovation and releases the adidas 4DFWD Pulse for the most fanatic runners.
adidas 4DFWD Pulse 'Signal Green' | Q46451
The adidas 4DFWD Pulse has a striking colour scheme. Besides a black colour, a poison green colour is used. The well-known three stripes on the side of the upper are made of a reflective material. With this running shoe, you will be spotted during the day and in the dark.
Upper part
The new running shoe from adidas is not only functional, but also durable. The pair is made with Primegreen. This is a material that the sports brand has made together with Parley, an environmental organisation, from plastic floating in the ocean. This way, two problems are solved at the same time. Few new materials are used and plastic disappears from the ocean.
The upper of this shoe is thus made of recycled high-performance materials. No new polyester was used in the production process.
If you look closely at the images above, you will see a fabric made of textile. This material is very stretchy and comfortable. So you will not get blisters during your first few running sessions. The inside is also lined with textile.
The adidas 4DFWD Pulse has a normal lacing system with rather thin laces. This way, the shoe fits best around your foot.
The heel cap was made with a 3D printer. Due to the specific angle that the heel makes, this shoe ensures that your foot is stimulated to take the next step.
4D midsole
The 4D-midsole of adidas is seen more and more often lately. This sole was used, among others, on the adidas Futurecraft 4D. The result of this sole was soon noticeable as many runners were immediately sold.
"I believe that shoes with 3D printed midsoles are the future of running. They are shoes for athletes. The possibilities are really exciting and it's great to be part of this journey with adidas."
Miri Dattke, German long-distance runner
The 4D midsole is made by means of a 3D printer. The space between the materials was coded very specifically by researching the foot and the effect of shock absorption during running.
When the foot hits the ground, the midsole changes the braking forces exerted by the foot into a forward motion. The new midsole provides a smooth transition with every step.
Outsole
The outsole is designed to be extra non-slip. This is because the non-slip outsole gives you more grip on all types of surfaces. This element makes you less likely to suffer an injury.
The adidas 4DFWD Pulse is currently only available if you are a member of the Creators Club of adidas for €160,00. When this pair will be available for everyone is not yet known, but stay tuned to our release calendar to see when it drops!
