size? and PUMA honour the 50th anniversary of 'The Godfather'. 'The Godfather' first saw the light of day in 1972 and was directed by Francis Ford Coppola. To celebrate the anniversary, size? and PUMA have teamed up to design three sneakers that represent different moments from the film.
The model used three times in this pack is the PUMA Palermo. The silhouette has a seventies look. In addition, Palermo is a major city in Sicily and it is only fitting to use this silhouette for the anniversary of the film about Italian mafia.
The three scenes used for reference are the wedding, the bar and the restaurant. Each scene has its own colorway and quote. For example, the colorway for the wedding is green with beige and the Palermo label says "We go to the mattresses".
'The Bar' has a light colour scheme with red and blue accents. The quote that goes with this pair is "Leave the gun, take the cannoli". The final colorway is 'The Restaurant' and is blue with pink. "It's not personal, it's strictly business" is written underneath the label.
Five hundred of each colorway from the size? x PUMA Palermo 'The Godfather' pack will be released. On Friday February 4, the pairs will be released at size?.
