Following the recent release of the NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Superstar 'Cement Grey,' the official colorway from 2005 will now return. In the 2000s, the classic silhouette received one collab to another. The iconic NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Superstar 'Core Black' will drop on June 21, 2024.
In 2005, Japanese streetwear label NEIGHBORHOOD released a black colorway of the adidas Superstar specifically for the 35th anniversary of the silhouette. The NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Superstar 'Core Black' was part of 35 releases collaborating with brands such as BAPE, Undefeated, Union, and Footpatrol.
Looking back to this period, this collaboration was one of the biggest global collaborations at that time. In 2024, for NEIGHBORHOOD's 30th anniversary, the label is bringing back this iconic release after 20 years.
The sneaker has a black upper with white details. The heel features the pirate-inspired logo and Japanese kanji characters. The overlays are set with white stitching on the upper. The shell toe has a black toe cap and the midsole has a yellowed look.
