adidas has come together with Phillip Leyesa, better known as Philllllthy, an online shop specialised in customisation and upcycling. The two have redesigned the adidas NMD S1. First released in 2021, the 'Sneaker Number 1' is a remarkable silhouette. Now in November 2022, Philllllthy brings his Wabi Sabi aesthetic to the model. Check out the pair below!
The new design is inspired by a custom pair of indigo patchwork NMDs made by Philllllthy in 2021. His signature indigo blue shades are particularly striking. The Three Stripes come in a bold blue, while the lacing system is coloured sky blue. Besides, the heel and toebox feature a checkered weave in a colour combination of blue, off-white and black.
The sneakers signature sole is combined with a white BOOST midsole, which provides comfort. On top of this rests a semi-transparent blue casing, complete with plugs and co-branding. Finally, the collar has been given a light blue tint, completing Phillip's design.
