To celebrate the Chinese New Year in 2022, Nike drops the Dunk Low 'Year of the Tiger'. The shoe is part of the Jordan Brand's Chinese New Year 2022 collection.
1 February 2022 is the Chinese New Year and Jordan has been bringing out a new collection every year since 2011. The holiday is also known as the Spring Festival and begins on the second new moon after the solstice. This year the solstice took place on 21 December and we will celebrate the year of the Tiger in 2022.
With the Jordan Brand's Chinese New Year 2022 collection, the brand drops several models and apparel items to celebrate the holiday. Like the Nike Dunk Low 'Year of the Tiger'. The sneaker is made of suede and combines the colours black and silver. On the heel are golden tiger stripes embroidered and brings the shoe completely in theme.
The Swoosh and overlays at the heel and laces also share the same colour black. An Asia-inspired pattern can be found on these, giving the shoe a graceful look. The sockliner is made from satin and an orange swoosh is printed on the mudguard. Finally, the silhouette wears white midsoles and is supported by orange translucent outsoles. These feature a tiger pattern.
