Amsterdam-based sneaker store Maha and adidas are joining forces for their first collaboration. In the past, Maha Amsterdam has already collaborated with names such as Yume Yume and Filling Pieces. Especially for spring, the boutique is coming out with two adidas sneakers; the adidas Samba and Samoa. Both silhouettes are already available at Maha and will be sold at various retailers from 15 April 2024.
Maha Amsterdam
Maha Amsterdam is an all too familiar boutique for (Dutch) sneaker lovers. Founded in 2015 by Saskia van Hofwegen and Dian Iskandar, the store focuses on sneakers and streetwear exclusively for women. With the release of the two silhouettes, Maha aims to pay tribute to its long-standing collaboration with adidas. The Amsterdam-based brand does so with two contemporary classics. The collaboration draws inspiration from the Asian heritage of Maha's co-founder, where heirlooms are seen as a symbol of endurance and growth.
The Samba and Samoa both arrive in a jade green colorway. Jade is considered the bearer of wisdom and strength. The upper uses premium leather and suede. Neutral green and white tones form a modern and fresh color palette. The laces have a jade bead, giving the release a playful touch.
The Maha x adidas Originals Samba and Samoa 'Jade' dropped exclusively at Maha Amsterdam on April 6, 2024. On April 15, 2024, the sneakers will release via adidas and various retailers worldwide. Check out the official images of the sneakers as well as all release infos in this article.
