Last week, in January 2024, Paris Fashion Week took place. During this week, high-end brands like Louis Vuitton, Wales Bonner, Rick Owens, Dior and many more showed their menswear collection for the upcoming season. The week was full of eye-catching designs, collections and collaborations, but there were a few that stood out.
Check out some highlights of Paris Fashion Week 2024 here.
Louis Vuitton x Timberland
Timberland was perhaps the biggest player at Paris Fashion Week 2024. The outdoor brand, known for their chunky, chunky boots, appeared for the first time on Paris Fashion Week's runway - a venue for exclusively haute couture brands. For example, the classic 6-Inch Boot appeared in a collab with Louis Vuitton, led by Creative Director Pharrell Williams.
Even before the show started, the first images of the unique collab were circling the internet. The boot appeared with the well-known Louis Vuitton monogram placed over the design. The collaboration broke the internet and was the topic of the week. Louis Vuitton's collection and Timberland's 'JE T' IMBS' campaign were also a huge success.

Junya Watanabe x New Balance
Another notable collaboration that appeared on the runway last week was that between Junya Watanabe and New Balance. The Japanese designer has collaborated with New Balance in the past, but this time came up with a very unique silhouette; the 1906L Loafer.
The Junya Watanabe x New Balance 1906L Loafer appeared in two colorways; one white and one black. The design takes inspiration from New Balance's 1906 model, but adds a loafer upper. The chic and slightly crazy silhouette caused a lot of commotion - in the positive sense. When exactly the silhouette will release is still unknown. In any case, we are fans.
A Ma Maniére x Nike
A Ma Maniére was at it again this year. Having had several Air Jordan releases in 2023, we now saw the first images of a Nike Air Max 95 collab. The trainer appeared in the signature A Ma Maniére purple shades. Placed across the silhouette were the A Ma Maniére brandings.
We also saw a new colorway of the Air Jordan 4. In late 2023, A Ma Maniére already came out with the 'Violet Ore' colouway. During Paris Fashion Week, the new (and better) colorway the 'Phantom' appeared at the feet of The Whitaker Group founder James Whitner. The sneaker arrives in a light purple with burgundy details. An exact release date is not yet known.
KidSuper brings Ronaldinho to the runway
Another noteworthy moment was the debut of former footballer Ronaldinho during Kid Super's runway. The iconic footballer walked for KidSuper's FW24 show in an oversized fur coat, bleached denim jeans and a shirt with a portrait of himself. The look was at least as iconic as the moment itself.
At the same show, the designer also came up with the "STRING THEORY", in which a model's outfit was frayed apart during the show. "It failed an hour before the show. I will show a whole video of how we did this but for now look at the only time it ever worked," the designer says in his Instagram post.
COMME des GARÇONS HOMME x Nike
Finally, COMME des GARÇONS HOMME also played a significant role again at Paris Fashion Week this year. Besides a collaboration with New Balance on the 860v2 model, we also saw the COMME des GARÇONS HOMME x Nike Air Max TL 2.5 appear in three colorways.
Introduced in 2008, the silhouette features a retro design. The trainer appears in a black, white and black and white colorway - each with modern tweaks. The model has a thickened sole that provides cushioning and comfort.
The next edition of Paris Fashion Week will take place the week of 26 February to 5 March 2024. During this week, the women's collections will be shown. Keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers news page for more news items like this one.
