Updated 14 january 2025 – It’s been a bit of a wait, but we finally have a release date for the JJJJound x New Balance 993 'Mushroom/White'. While the design might seem simple on paper, sneakerheads are already buzzing with excitement. A big part of the hype comes from its resemblance to JJJJound’s first-ever collab, the iconic 990v3 from 2018.
As we’ve come to expect from the Montreal-based brand, ‘less is more’ is the mantra here. The shoe oozes understated style with a rich brown suede and mesh upper, paired with darker overlays, subtle black accents, and a crisp white finish on the midsole and laces.

JJJJound and New Balance team up again and this time it's the turn of the popular New Balance 993. After previous successful collabs on the 992 and 990, the 993 also adds to this list. The collaboration combines JJJJound's minimalist style with the high-quality that the ‘Made in USA’ collection is known for.
First spotted in JJJJound's Levi's lookbook from earlier this year, the sneakers have now been officially unveiled via the brand's Instagram page. As we have come to expect, JJJJound is all about sleek designs and premium details, and this release is no exception.

The upcoming drop consists of two variants, both finished in luxurious materials. The first version has a rich brown mesh base, with black accents on the toebox, collar and overlays. The tongue is black suede and the sole is also all-black. This gives the design a timeless, elegant look.
The second colorway has a more subdued grey look, with tonal layers highlighting the minimalist design. This version is distinguished by a silver tongue and an off-white sole.
A notable detail is the subtle modification of the tongue branding: ‘Made in USA’ has been placed above the classic 993. It's a small change, but one that adds to the clean design.
An exact release date is not yet known, but the trainers are expected around the 2024 holiday season via JJJJound's website and possibly at New Balance.
