Fashion designer Isabel Marant has translated her love for Chucks into an extensive collaboration with Converse. The collection comes with a new silhouette; the Chuck 70 Wedge, which gives the classic Chuck 70 an elegant look. The Isabel Marant x Converse collab drops on September 12, 2024.

Converse is joining forces with French fashion label Isabel Marant for the first time. The label is named after the designer and founder known for her playful designs that embrace the Parisian aesthetic. In collaboration with Converse, the designer is releasing four sneakers, including the Chuck 70 Wedge silhouette.
The Isabel Marant x Converse Chuck 70 Wedge appears in two colorways: 'White' and 'Black'. The sneaker is based on Isabel Marant's groundbreaking design that were very popular in the 2010 's. The design uses the upper of the Chuck 70 and adds a block heel.
"I developed my brand in a very open and genuine way," Isabel Marant said in a statement. "I chose to build it step by step to maintain complete freedom in my work. The notion of ‘effortless luxury’ is quite authentic to me, my designs, and the meaning behind them."
This line of thought is also evident in the designs of the sneakers, each of which has a luxurious feel. The upper combines signature Chuck details with Isabel Marant's design DNA, such as a frayed jacquard upper made of cotton and polyester. The heel features the Isabel Marant logo.
"The word ‘luxury’ is used in too many ways, and you can get bored of it — it’s much more difficult to achieve something simple and effortless, of which you never get bored."
