In late 2024, Dutch label Daily Paper debuted their first collaboration with Converse, dear community. This 'Colors of Independence' collection celebrated cultural diversity and freedom, topics close to both brands' hearts. For the next collaboration, the Star Player will be brought to life.
Although the Star Player may not be the first silhouette one thinks of when thinking of Converse sneakers, it carries a rich history. The Star Player 76 was the second Converse trainer to carry the iconic star and chevron logo, after it made its debut on the All Star Pro.
The silhouette is also used in the next collaboration with Daily Paper and appears in a Low and High variant. The Low-top uses the colors of the Pan-African flag. The star and chevron logo appear in red and yellow, complemented by green details on the center panel.
The High-top has a slightly more subdued design. The upper consists of different shades of grey and is made up of the materials leather, suede, and mesh. Suede details at the lace eyelets and branding on the upper give the pair its unique look. Daily Paper and Converse co-branding appear on both trainers.
The Daily Paper x Converse Star Player 76 Ox 'Black' and 'Grey' are set to drop at Converse on 27 March 2025. It is not yet known if the sneakers will come with an accompanying collection, as with the previous release. Keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers news page for updates surrounding this release.
