At a time when sports are effortlessly combined with fashion, the Nike Lunar Roam, one of Nike's most recent sneaker model, seems to be the perfect silhouette for 2024. In late 2023, the first colorways of the Lunar Roam appeared. Now we see the following variants that we can expect in 2024.
Lunar Roam technology
Despite being a fairly new silhouette, the Nike Lunar Roam takes inspiration from previous models from Nike's archives. In 2008, the Nike Lunar was introduced, a light and bouncy design designed as a running shoe. The Lunar technology was groundbreaking and something unknown at the time.
Now, more than 15 years later, Nike is bringing the technology back, but just a little differently. Unlike its predecessor, the Nike Lunar Roam is designed for everyday use and not just for the sport of running. The foam midsole has been redesigned and reinforced for everyday use. The upper is made of breathable textiles and is supported by Magwire cables that provide extra stability.
The Nike Lunar Roam is a perfect translation of contemporary technologies with iconic designs from the past. Designed for sports, and worn as an everyday sneaker - the Nike Lunar Roam is suitable for both occasions.
Expected releases
Nike already has several colorways of the Nike Lunar Roam planned. Our personal favorite might be the 'Pink Gaze,' which will drop on May 10, 2024. The colorways 'Phantom', 'Black & Safety Orange', 'Dark Smoke Grey', and 'Barely Volt' will drop on May 8, 2024.
All five colorways have a sporty look. The center panel features the Swoosh. The Lunar sole has horizontal stripes that give the pair a unique look. Notable about the 'Black & Safety Orange', and 'Barely Volt' colorways, is the overflow of color in the sole.
