Dutch label Daily Paper is teaming up with Converse for the first time. The duo is releasing the 'Colours of Independence' collection celebrating freedom and cultural pride. The collection consists of two sneakers and matching apparel and will drop on October 1, 2024, at Converse and select retailers.

Converse and Daily Paper arrive to unveil 'Colours of Independence' collection. Both brands celebrate cultural diversity through art, fashion, and meaningful collaborations. So it was about time the two labels worked together.
Inspired by liberation movements and a growing sense of cultural pride, this collection revolves around quilted patterns, embroidered details and signature Pan-African colors that symbolize freedom and belonging.
“We are thrilled to partner with Converse for the Colors of Independence collection, a project that celebrates our collective passion for community and self-expression,” says Abderrahmane Trabsini, co-founder and design director of Daily Paper in a statement.
"This collection is a tribute to the resilience and creativity of youth across the world."
'Colours of Independence'
The collection consists of two sneakers: the Chuck 70 and Chuck 70 De Luxe Squared. Both sneakers have a black colorway and use yellow, green and red details, the pan-African colors. A striking feature of the Chuck 70 De Luxe Squared is its angular sole. As the name gives away, the sneaker has a square toe, which gives the pair a modern look.
The Chuck 70 features the well-known Daily Paper motif on the upper. Like the De Luxe Squared silhouette, the sneaker comes with a colorful outsole. The heel features the Converse emblem, which has the same colors. Finally, the inside of the tongue features “Stay Informed,” the slogan of the Amsterdam-based label.
In addition, the 'Colours of Independence' collab comes with matching apparel, as a jacket, hoodie, pants, and tops. The campaign was shot in Senegal, a country rich in cultural history and vibrant energy. Something that is also reflected in the collection.
