The One Piece series is considered one of the best Japanese anime and manga series of all time. The successful series follows the pirate emperors Fifth Gear Luffy, Blackbeard, Shanks, and Buggy as they search for the mythical 'One Piece' to become the next pirate king.
On March 23, 2024, PUMA will launch a new collection together with One Piece. After the 2019 collaboration, they are now coming out with a range of PUMA Suede sneakers. These include four colorways, each inspired by one of One Piece's four Pirate Emperors.
One Piece x PUMA Suede 'Luffy Gear 5'
The first One Piece x PUMA Suede colorway we see is a white performance sneaker that highlights Luffy's Fifth Gear white hair. In this awakened form, Luffy is often depicted with clouds floating around him.
These clouds are incorporated into the PUMA logo design. To bring even more features of Luffy back to the sneaker; Luffy's Fifth Gear symbol is embossed on the suede tongue.
One Piece x PUMA Suede 'Blackbeard'
Of course, the One Piece x PUMA Suede collection also includes a 'Blackbeard' version. The black leather base is finished with gold accents. These refer to Emperor Blackbeard's coat and jewelry. Also on this sneaker, the tongue is decorated with a three-headed Jolly Roger. The tongue, logo, and cloud accents are rendered in the design, referring to his dark powers.
One Piece x PUMA Suede 'Shanks'
The next colorway to compliment the One Piece x PUMA Suede is the 'Shanks' version. This wine-red sneaker is perhaps the most detailed and honors Emperor Shanks. It is only fitting that there are two Jolly Rogers on the tongue of the sneaker, as he is the leader of the Red Hair Pirates. His three iconic scars are also stitched on the heel of the sneaker.
One Piece x PUMA Suede 'Buggy'
By far the most colorful of the bunch is the One Piece x Puma Suede 'Buggy'. This sneaker is dressed in red suede with a bright blue PUMA logo. The logo has a spiky look that mimics the wild hair of Buggy (The Clown). Baby Carriage's signature Jolly Roger is depicted on the tongue of the sneaker to make it all his own.

All colorways will be available from PUMA starting March 23, 2024. In addition to these four colorways, the One Piece x PUMA collection also includes an extensive apparel collection. Co-branded tees, jackets, pants, and hoodies are also available in the One Piece theme.
