PUMA is collaborating with archivist and collector INSIDE TAG to release the iconic Mostro in a special edition: the PUMA Mostro UR. The collaboration combines nostalgia with innovative textures and will be released in two colorways.
The release is supported by retailer END., who offers an exclusive first look at the sneaker.
INSIDE TAG
The PUMA Mostro UR is designed by George Roy Roberts, the founder of INSIDE TAG. Roberts is a collector, archivist, and vintage seller with extensive knowledge of sneakers and design. Through his platform @inside.tag, he shines a light on iconic and sometimes somewhat absurd designs, including the PUMA Mostro.

The PUMA Mostro UR is a variation of the iconic silhouette that debuted in the 2000s. The term 'UR' stands for 'original' in German. The silhouette, designed by Peter Schmid, was initially intended to be the first release of the PUMA Mostro. However, the Mostro as we know it today became the first version to hit the shelves.
In 2024, the model was re-released with the more aggressive sole of the UR version. This makes the new release the most faithful reproduction of the original Mostro. INSIDE TAG has also made some adjustments to better align the design with the brand's current style.

The 'White/Orange' colorway is inspired by the Sony Ericsson Walkman W810i, the phone Roberts had when he was younger. This variant is designed as a versatile sneaker with modern details. The 'Purple/Brown' colorway, on the other hand, is inspired by nature and serves as a hiking shoe.
