We are still halfway through 2024, or we are already seeing next year's first release. The Air Jordan 1 will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2025 and will do so, among other things, with the release of the Air Jordan 1 '85 'Reverse Shadow,' a sample from 1985.
The Air Jordan 1 is perhaps one of the most iconic sneakers of all time. The silhouette was released in 1985 in collaboration with basketball player Michael Jordan. After the Air Jordan 1, many iconic silhouettes followed, think the Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 4, and more.
Especially for the 40th anniversary of the series, Nike is bringing back some classics. It was previously announced that the Air Jordan 1 'Bred' will return in 2025. Now the 'Reverse Shadow' is added to the lineup. The 'Reverse Shadow' is an unreleased sample from 1985 that takes inspiration from the 'Shadow' colorway.
The 'Reverse Shadow' uses the colors gray and black. Whereas the 'Shadow' colorway uses black on the upper and gray on the overlays, this is reversed in the 'Reverse Shadow'. The sneaker is made of leather and features the Wing logo on the collar.
Exactly when the Air Jordan 1 '85 'Reverse Shadow' will be released is not yet known. However, we can expect the sneaker sometime in the summer of 2025. Keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers news page for updates surrounding this release.
