It seems Nike and Nigo get along all too well. Earlier this year, the first Air Force 3 was released in collaboration with the artist and designer. Now, less than a month and a half after the initial release, we see another colorway of the silhouette: the 'Barque Brown'.
The 'Baroque Brown' is suspiciously reminiscent of a previously shown colorway, the 'Light British Tan, which also uses a hairy upper. Both colorways are partly inspired by the Planet of the Apes films, which inspired NIGO to found A BATHING APE in 1993.
The 'Baroque Brown' features a dark brown colorway with dark green details. The leather overlays come in dark brown tones that contrast nicely with green details, like the Swoosh and collar. Both colorways, the “Light British Tan” and the “Baroque Brown,” come with a felt “I” patch.
The previous two releases used the letter 'N,' so one speculates that two more drops will follow using the letters 'G' and 'O.' If you collect all the patches, you spell NIGO, and these letters can then be attached to a varsity jacket, also from the Nike collection.
For true collectors, there is another unique detail: there are two variants of each colorway. One uses 'NIGO' branding on the heel and the other 'OGIN'. The second variant comes from Japan and China, making it more attractive to collectors.
It is not yet known exactly when the Nigo x Nike Air Force 3 'Baroque Brown' will be released. However, we can expect the sneaker in 2024. Check out the first images of the sneaker below and don't miss this release.
