After the great success of the New Balance 550, which was recalled by boutique Aimé Leon Dore in 2021, the New Balance 475 appears to be the next to get a second life. The model was introduced in the 1980s, but appeared off the shelves shortly thereafter. Time for Aimé Leon Dore to change that.
Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance prove time and again that they work all too well together. After the great success of the New Balance 550, Teddy Santis, founder of Aimé Leon Dore, was appointed creative director of the NB Made in USA line.
Recently, the New Balance 1000 was used in a collaboration, as well as a silhouette retrieved from the archives. The next collaboration involves the New Balance 475, which was designed in the 1980s and served as a running shoe. It seems that the Aimé Leon Dore variant has received some lifestyle modifications.
The first images of the anticipated collab show a white and green colorway. The sneaker is reminiscent of silhouettes like the 574 and 576. The New Balance 475 has a round toe and a chunky outsole. The upper uses the materials mesh, leather, and suede.
It is not yet known when the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 475 will be released. For now, we only have the first images. Keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers news page for updates.
