A few weeks ago, we saw the first images of the New Balance 1906L in two suede colorways. The New Balance 1906L was perhaps the most surprising silhouette of 2024. Good news for fans: the two suede variants will drop on February 5, 2025, at New Balance and selected retailers.
After already receiving several colorways, the New Balance 1906L is getting a suede variant for the first time. The sneaker - or rather, loafer - was first introduced in a leather version by Junya Watanabe during Paris Fashion Week 2024. Shortly after, New Balance released its own versions, which primarily featured mesh materials.
The suede variant of the 1906L will be released in two colorways: 'Rich Oak' and 'Black'. Both versions are constructed from durable suede and feature an upper reminiscent of the New Balance 1906. The loafer is supported by the well-known NERGY technology, providing cushioning and comfort with every step.
Both colorways feature a gray-brown sole. New Balance branding appears on the tongue and insole.
The New Balance 1906L 'Rich Oak' and 'Black' will both be released on February 5, 2025, at New Balance and selected retailers.

New Balance seems to be building on the success of the 1906L, introducing two new colorways of the silhouette. The sneaker, or rather loafer, now comes in two suede variations. The release date for these colorways is not yet known.
One of the most striking sneakers of 2024 is now available in two new colorways. Following the release of the 'Metallic Silver,' which featured a mesh upper, and the Junya Watanabe loafer, which used leather, we now see brown and black colorways that both utilize suede throughout the entire design.
The loafer boasts a sophisticated design with a sturdy upper. The first colorway features a black upper with a dark brown sole, drawing inspiration from the 1906 sneaker. The second pair comes in a cognac colorway and uses the same brown sole.
