Converse Loafers
Loafers are more popular than ever and seem to be making their way into the world of sneakers. Recently, we have seen models from brands like HOKA and New Balance incorporating classic loafer elements into their sneakers. Now, Converse is introducing three new silhouettes with a classic touch.
These include the Chuck Taylor All Star Lugged Heel Loafer Platform, Chuck Taylor All Star Lugged Heel Mary Jane Platform, and Chuck 70 De Luxe Heel Loafer Platform. The sneakers, loafers, or 'snoafers', as some call them, each feature unique details and come in a variety of colorways.
The first silhouette, the Chuck Taylor All Star Lugged Heel Loafer Platform, might be the most reminiscent of a loafer. The model features a chunky design, crafted from premium leather and supported by a sturdy platform sole. A tassel is placed on the instep, a signature detail of a loafer.
The second model resembles another classic silhouette that is especially popular among women: the Mary Jane. The Chuck Taylor All Star Lugged Heel Mary Jane Platform incorporates some of the iconic details of the Chuck Taylor All Star, including the sole, but gives it a completely unique twist. This pair is also made from sturdy leather and features straps across the instep, just like a traditional Mary Jane.
Finally, perhaps the most striking model of the pack: the Chuck 70 De Luxe Heel Loafer Platform. This design takes the loafer aesthetic to the next level—literally. It features a sturdy block heel and a sole reminiscent of the classic Chuck 70. The model is available in two colorways, both crafted from premium leather.
The three new silhouettes are already available at Converse.
