adidas' YEEZY line returns in 2024 after all

After much commotion surrounding the adidas YEEZY line in collaboration with Kanye West, better known as Ye these days, the long-standing collaboration finally seemed to come to an end in 2023. At least, that's what people thought. Recently, adidas released the news that the brand will still sell YEEZY sneakers in 2024.

For fans of sneakers (and Ye), 2023 was an eventful year. After Ye and adidas broke up in late 2022, following shocking statements by the rapper and designer, adidas ended the collaboration. The duo had worked together since 2014, releasing one iconic silhouette after another under the name YEEZY.

In 2023, adidas indicated that the remaining stock of YEEZY sneakers would be sold anyway. The proceeds, would go to charity. In the recently issued press release, CEO Bjørn Gulden announced the 2023 figures, which he said were better than expected.

"Our fourth quarter developed a little better than expected and we have decided to release preliminary numbers. For the full year our currency-neutral revenues were flat, and we reached an operating profit of € 268 million. This is € 368 million better than what we guided for," aldus Gulden.

In the same announcement, Gulden announced that the brand will continue to sell the remaining YEEZYs into 2024. It is not yet known exactly which releases are involved and when they will release at adidas. Should you be interested in the full press release, click here.
