One man, one shoe, one hype
Kanye West released his first design with adidas in 2015. At that time, the adidas Yeezy Boost 750 was released, which was very limited and for which Kanye West organised a big exhibition. But did you know that Mr. West had already designed for Nike before? For the Nike Air Yeezy, he took the sole of the Air Jordan 3 and just put his ideas on top.
In fact, it goes back even further, because Kanye West's very first shoe creation should have been with Reebok. At the time, he was the only person Reebok had signed who wasn't an athlete. But the Kanye x Reebok S. Carter Low 'College Dropout' collection was never available in shops. The brand released the sneakers without Kanye's consent, which led to a lawsuit.
The most diverse models later, Kanye still collaborates with adidas and releases the most curious silhouettes. What sounded like a mean joke in 2016 has come true: "At some point, everyone who wants Yeezys will get Yeezys."
