Nigel Sylvester has teamed up with Jordan Brand to create a new version of the classic Air Jordan 4. Sylvester is an American professional BMX rider known for his unique style and cool tricks. On his Instagram account, he tells the story behind the sneaker. The release of the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 RM 'Grandma's Driveway' is scheduled for the 20th of July 2024 via Nike and selected retailers.

The duo put a fresh spin on the beloved 1989 silhouette with the Air Jordan 4 RM 'Grandma's Driveway'. The 'RM' stands for 'Remix,' or 'Restomod' as many call the silhouette. Sylvester has indeed released an interesting remix that shows both his passion for BMX and his sense of style

A first look at the Air Jordan 4 RM reveals some notable changes compared to the OG silhouette. The upper has now become a low silhouette instead of a mid-height, with an updated TPU cage running around the heel. The signature TPU wings and lace locks have been replaced with a streamlined, one-piece TPU construction, creating a unique look.

Sylvester and Jordan Brand's collab is further highlighted by special branding, including the distinctive 'Bike Air' logo on the heel and tongue. These details show Sylvester's love of cycling and his distinctive personality.

In a clip, Sylvester says the colorway of the sneaker was inspired by the driveway of his grandmother's house, the place where the BMXer found his love for the sport. The specially designed shoebox also has details that reference his grandmother's house.
