The ASICS x Sneaker Freaker x atmos GEL-Lyte III 'Alley Cats' arrives
ASICS is coming out with a GEL-Lyte III this year, 2022, in collaboration with Sneaker Freaker and atmos. The 'Alley Cats' colorway is inspired by the boulevards of Sneaker Freaker and atmos's home cities, Melbourne and Tokyo.
The upper of this ASICS sneaker immediately steals the show. On the upper, suede, leather, mesh and a furry material are used. The colour scheme consists mainly of purple and grey shades. The toebox, nose and heel are made of suede and have a grey colour. In contrast, the middle panel, tongue and collar are in a striking purple colour. This colour also returns on the outline of the ASICS branding on the middle panel.
The recognizable ASICS lines are made of leather and are in white. Underneath these lines is a furry overlay in an off-white colour. On the midsole, the purple colour returns, but this time covered in white speckles. To make the outsole also stand out, some of this material is in bright green.
The atmos and Sneaker Freaker logos are embossed in the heel. In the hairy element above, ASICS' logo is embroidered in black.

The pair comes in a mix of grey and purple and also has a fun mix of materials in its construction. Furry grey faux fur appears on the heels and side panels, while the rest of the upper features suede, leather, stains and more. Another fun twist is that the Asics stripes and sections of the toebox light up in the dark and shine in a mint green hue that matches the midsection of the outsoles. Additional details include mismatched Sneaker Freaker and atmos branding on the heels, a white midsole with a purple speckled midsection and mismatched graphic insoles. The pair also come with additional laces.
