After much speculation, we can finally expect the release of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 ‘Chlorophyll’. The highly anticipated sneaker is set to drop on 13 September 2024, a launch that many have been eagerly awaiting.
In 2024, Patta celebrates its 20th anniversary, and to mark this milestone, they are re-releasing the iconic 'Chlorophyll'. This year also marks the 15th anniversary of the collaboration between Patta and Nike, a partnership that has already delivered several successful Air Max 1 releases.
The rerelease highlights the strong bond between the two brands. It’s a tribute to a key moment in their shared history, while also looking ahead to a future filled with more collaborations.

Upon closer inspection, the new Air Max 1 ‘Chlorophyll’ remains nearly identical to the original, with a few modern updates. The same fabric from the 2009 release has been reused, and the iconic colourway remains unchanged.
However, this version features an updated insole with a €20 bill in place of the Dutch guilder, as a nod to Patta’s 20th anniversary. Additionally, the sneaker comes in a custom box with Chlorophyll accents.
'The original Chlorophyll project was almost like a first album: There was a lot of energy, a lot of ideation in there, and the product was just very organic,' says co-founder Guillaume 'Gee' Schmidt. 'With this release, we stick to the essence of the shoe, which really stands the test of time. It's just an amazing moment to bring back a shoe that's so coveted, that's so loved by the sneaker community and the community at large.'
