New Balance is celebrating 'Lunar New Year' with a special release. The holiday marks the first "new moon" of a lunar calendar and falls on February 10. The day is a popular holiday, especially in Asia and is celebrated with lanterns, lights and special, ritualistic dishes.
The New Balance pack pays tribute to the holiday and comes with two colorways of the 1906U model, the 'White' and 'Pink'. The New Balance 1906U is a 'utility' variant of the 1906 silhouette. The sneaker has a sporty silhouette and uses materials such as leather, mesh, and TPU. The model arrives in a pink and yellow colorway that combines both silver details.
Over the silhouette are dynamic overlays that give the pair a modern look. The sole uses the well-known N-ERGY technology which provides cushioning and comfort. Jade green details also appear in the sole, a color that refers to the holiday and represents virtue, kindness, wisdom and more.
